This video is an "Over-my-shoulder" view of how to replace the front brake pads of a 2004 Lexus RX330. The video begins after I have lifted the front right corner of my vehicle with a hydraulic bottle jack, removed the wheel and placed a Jack Stand under the front suspension. With the car safely on a jack stand and the wheel removed, loosen the two 14mm hex bolts that secure the floating bridge to the brake caliper (to make removal easier, loosen both bolts FIRST, then spin them out by hand). Note: Unlike the Top Mounting Bolt, the Lower Mounting Bolt will have a black band on its tip, make sure that this bolt goes back in the lower mounting hole. My bolts were very clean and came out very greasy. If your bolts are dry, I recommend that you grease your bolts with good quality Brake Grease to keep your bolts rust free and to make sure that your bridge/caliper assembly slides freely. After the Mounting Bolts are off, you should be able to carefully lift up on the Bridge and lift it completely away from the Caliper. Be gentle, it is still attached by the flexible Brake Hose. Do not let the bridge hang by the hose! You should be able to let it sit on brake dust shield without putting any stress on the brake hose. Next, use a flat screw driver or a pry bar to remove the Outboard Pad (work on one pad at a time).
